I sort of agree...

For 25K, I keep getting pulled in the opposite direction... For example - a 996C2 or C6. Those are pretty good cars for the money.

I wonder how many Porsche owners have more than one car? I do and I would guess at least 1/2 own and use another vehicle also. It would be an interesting thread.....

I agree - for $25k I think there are a lot of other good alternatives, Luxury or sport

I admit, I'm a big fan of the concept of the BRZ or FR-S, and Toyota GT.

Because they figure if you are going to make it look fast, you are going to spend the money and make it go fast. I saw the scion fr-s in Boston, it looks nice for a 25K car.
