Nice car, enjoy it!
Came through Knoxville yesterday at around 11am. Traffic moved at about 80 mph (sometimes closer to 90) on I 40.

BTW, great looking car!
Any idea what method was used to black out the polished stainless strip?

I've been wanting to do that as well, as with light color paint, a contrasting strip color looks better.

Love the Targa 4S!

If they only made a Turbo Targa S!

It makes a decent Grocery Hauler, and its fun to drive as are all Pcars.

I'm looking forward to driving from Ashville up to Johnson City via the Tail of the Dragon.

Might make a trip to Knox-vegas sometime around football season hopefully.

Trim

I covered the hideous Silver trim with 3M Vinyl. Looks way better now

Funny how people are so different.

the stainless trim is one of my favorite things of my Targas design, it's the Targas signature.

That's being said, on your black car, the black you coverd it with looks great.

Oh, and love the wheels too..

enjoy!

Did you do the work yourself (if so where did you order the 3M vinyl from)?

or did you have a shop do it?

The shape is such that having a proper template to cut out the vinyl shape (or being able to order the vinyl precut) is critical.

3m

That part is difficult. Done by professional who said that too.
Has to look OE, as its seen all the time.

Op, you went from 996 to 997 targa and now a 09tt. Would you recommend going straight for the turbo? I'm in a similar situation

If I had the cash in the beginning I would have bought the Turbo first but I had to save my pennies and didn't want to do without my toy while I waited, so i stepped up as I could buy outright. I really like my Turbo.

Hey Matt -- do you mind me asking how much you sold your Targa and what you used (eg cars.com, trade-in, etc)

I traded it in. I didn't get as much as I wanted but the tax savings made up for the difference.
