Carrera emblem loosing please I need your advice

has someone being able to detach the emblem and again put it back with special tape what brand 3M? type

how hard is to take it out without destroying the carrera emblem?

Never going to happen. Once you take it off you'll need to buy a new one. It basically falls apart in a million pieces and takes 2 hours to remove. Good Luck.

It's a piece of cake to remove if you take your time! Use a hair dryer to warm up each letter while taking dental floss to remove between body & emblem.I just replaced my "S" it was a piece of cake.

wow that is what I thought, looks so fragile!!

Thanks

That looks a better way, with the hair dryer!! I going to try it, I donīt have anything to loose, anyway is going to come down from now and then.

Thanks

I used a hair dryer but ended up busting it into little pieces. Thing was a pain to remove, perhaps yours wasn't on the car as long as mine.

I hope I can do it, the goal will be to put it back again with this

Not worth trying to reattach, it will be hard to be clean about it and an adhesiveor glue may leave residue or marks on the paint. Go naked or go buy a new one.

Did you use dental floss?

It's entirely possible if you are careful on removing your emblem and it was a cooperative emblem that didn't just bust to pieces....

Mine is successfully reattached to my toolbox....

I had no problem getting my Carrera S off with dental floss and a hair dryer. Took all of five minutes. I removed the residue from the car with goo gone followed up by polish and finally wax. It was a PITA to get the adhesive off the emblem and the same hassle trimming the new 3M tape. I painted it black with some Krylon "plastic" paint and it looks great. I think I will leave it off though. It's great to not have to wash/clean/wax around the emblem. I'll stick with naked. The toolbox looks like a good place for the emblem.:)

BTW - I used a fine fishing line, no hair dryer. Sawed it off in less than five minutes. It was an old emblem since mine is an 05. Otherwise I did the same as Rotor - goo gone and polish and left it naked. I did notice there was a ghost image on the car a couple of weeks later - more polish and now it's all good.

Most of the emblem adhesive is a double coated foam. If you can cut/separate the foam between the two adhesive layers, that's how it comes off. Yeah, can't help myself. I worked for a really famous tape company in a previous life....hilarious
