Oil Tempurature
Oil Tempurature
I have a 06 997 with 66K on it.
I recently changed the serpentine belt and notice that my oil temperature takes longer to heat up and instead of going up to around 220 to 222 and settling, it now goes up to between 200 to 215, depending on the length of the trip.
I am not sure why that is happening but I thought I would mention it. Does anyone have an idea? Also at 66k the belt was fraying (the inner "line/ring" was detaching from the rest of the belt), so if you have not changed yours on time, it could be a ticking time bomb.
