Have you gotten a Carfax for the ride ? The tires after 2 1/2 years of low use may not have been acceptable for the CPO especially w/ the mismatch. Maybe there's a bit of softness on the price but low mileage & a 100k warranty is worth some coin.

Wanderingwheelz is infamous around these parts
Take a good look around for a leftover brand new 2012 997.2 S. There may still be a few here and there. They are heavily discounted (under invoice), plus Porsche will add an additional 12 months of warranty at no cost.

That's what I did. Well over $20k off sticker.

You need to keep in mind that a CPO is about a 3K add on from the dealer.

Yes, I think the green one is not the one. I am going to expand my search.

Long story short: Last night I found what I thought was a 2012 997 C2S with everything I wanted, including my favorite colors. I went to the dealer today to try to work a deal on it and oops, it was a 991 C2S. After looking at a lot of low mile used 997's, I worked a deal on the 991 C2S and traded in my Cayman.

It's a great 911 and I am very happy, even though I spent considerably more than I had planned to.

I will take some pics tomorrow and post them. Way over budget? Nah, I decided to change my budget.

I got divorced from my first wife 11 years ago. There will be no second wife because I am very happy as a "born again bachelor". I only needed my approval to buy it, I agreed wholeheartedly with myself that it was a good idea.

I had a very nice drive today breaking in my new 911S. Below, as promised, are a couple of pictures of it I took today.

Nice purchase. I have yet to test drive a 991 and I really need to try them out. I heard that they are very good - especially on the track. I am not trading my GT3, however! (At least not yet - I may change my mind when I try the new out).

These 991's are very capable, fast, good handling machines.

Since I owned a Cayman before this, I can say this in comparison of the two cars: the 991S does not have quite the laser-like handling focus that my Cayman had, but that is a small difference. In all other areas it far exceeds my Cayman. Fiddling with tire pressures may make that difference moot.

Great looking car and great adventures ahead.
Its great not to ask for permission to buy a car with the money you made.
My first wife tried..that's why she is gone.
2nd one is great improvement.
