Just got my new winter car!

2013 Lexus GS 350 AWD F-sport...

I've had a 997.2 C2S pdk for over 2 years now, and have near 40K miles on it already!. So I've really needed a second car, and I wanted AWD for the winters here in Michigan.

I tested the Audi S4, Merc E350 AWD, 328xi and 335xi, 535xi, Cadillac ATS AWD, and the new Lexus Gs 350 AWD (F-sport).

Honestly, it wasn't even close. The Lexus blew me away. Great sporty handling, luxury, looks, top notch build quality/materials. It had it all. However, it doesn't have the most powerful engine or best 0-60 of the group, but I don't need that...lol). I think anyone who'd plop down $50-75K for a 3 or 5 series owes themselves at least a test drive of the Lexus!
The sleeper of the group was the Cadillac ATS. Great little car, but a bit overpriced, I think.

Nice, Lexus seems to finally be "getting it". The interior in person definitely seemed higher quality than the 5 series. The power seems a little low compared to the competition but numbers are just that. I'd love to see a true "F" coupe.

Congrats!

I personally would have gone with the new Audi A6. Seems to be beating the Lexus across the board in the comparison tests. Better AWD system, better transmission, Better steering response to name a few. etc.

Actually, it's mixed. In the recent Motor Trend comparison of Infiniti M, A6, 535i, and GS 350, Lexus come out #1, BMW was #2, and Audi finished 3rd.
Anyway, when driving great cars of this quality and in this price range, you have to go with your gut and follow your emotions.... otherwise, you'll regret it... same with toys like Porches.
If you don't LOVE it within 10 minutes of driving it, don't buy it.
I LOVED the Lexus instantly, looks and all.

The GS line is great, I drove 2006 GS 300 awd as my winter car for few years. Nothing bad to say about it. Yours is even better, congrats.
I would never put my car in this salt mixture they use here on the roads.
My winter car is a lifted Toyota tundra, great truck, with turbo I get about 550hp, I think it might be faster then the Porsche.
Enjoy in good health.
