refinishing face plates in center console

can someone point me to a DIY to get these pieces out, the volcano silver stuff has got to go, along with the steering wheel ring, but thats another story...just simple shiny black will thrill me, i don't know what to call them in the search box to get an answer, tia,

MACarbon has some decent install videos for carbon fiber trim pieces.

he good thing about plastic dip is that you won't need to remove every single button... just cover the screen, spray and peel each button...

to pull the AC unit apart, you have 4 screws externally and 4 internally that holds the circuit board and LCD screen. the small buttons are easy to take apart, the to round ones takes a little to figure it out but doable. the PSM button's panel, just clips out of the frame...
I'm planning to replace the PCM with the smaller, unreleased iPad and paint the rest black.

joel, thanks, that's what i need to know, having seen these centers in other colors or leather covered makes a huge difference in the interior...even nicely finished with a can of black spray paint, which i won't be doing, would be better ...than the volcano, here we go, new thread
