Theoretical question - at least for me, but if one were ti take euro delivery of a shiny new 911, how would you incorporate that opportunity with the break-in period?

In my opinion it is actually an idea situation. The route I took with a Mercedes was about 3 hours max of driving per day. Out of Sindelfingen, close to Stuttgart through Baden-Baden/black forest the first day, then to Zurich the second day, back to Neuschwanstein Castle the third day, Salzburg the fourth day and Munich to return the car to ship back. GPS is a must so you can take the back roads and vary your RPM to break it in.

I found this better than bringing out of the dealership and drive your normal day routine to break a car in.

One more thing - when you hand your car in, see if you can keep the tourist plates. It's a souvenir that would otherwise get tossed.
