I just completed the Sharkwerks install. First impression is I thought it would be louder. Its nice at start up but I was expecting a bit more.

I do have the Sherkwerks on my GT3 and when that went in there we a big difference in sound at all RPM levels. I guess I was expecting something more like the GT3 sound difference.

I have to say that the quality and fit on the part is excellent.

Must do the mufflers too. Bypass pipes alone don't cut it. Had Tubi (with its own bypass pipes) on the -09 C4S and thought it couldn't get better. Now with PSE and the SW pipes on the GTS....best so far.

The Tubi on SW web site looks like it includes the tubes where PSE belongs. Does the Tubi piece come with PSE attached or do I need to have those pipes welded in?

Not sure I understand your question. Sounds like you're referring to the bypass tubes as PSE. Is that what you're saying? PSE is short for Porsche Sport Exhaust. A factory option that only apply to the mufflers. On .2 cars this still includes a restrictive center muffler which many replace with various brands of bypass or crossover pipes. The Tubi system for .2 cars include mufflers and bypass pipes.

I have the SW bypass pipes installed. I know the PSE works off of the side mufflers, basically with PSE there are 2 sets of pipes exit the side muffler and out the tips. The second pipe opens with PSE button.
The Tubi side muffler has one exit pipe. You stated "Now with PSE and the SW pipes on the GTS....best so far" Just trying to figure out how PSE works with the Tubi side mufflers.

I have seen another side muffler maybe Magna flow where the PSE works off a remote. Maybe from Fabspeed.

You lose the option of selecting quiet and loud with Tubi. No big deal since you can keep the Tubi quiet if you want to.

I'm still a Cargraphic fan as they seem better engineered and manufactured than most else. It's German, so it must be good!
Do you have a part number and source for a video or sound clip of the cargraphic?

I'm surprised that no one has recommended gundo/Fister for your stated need. I'm delighted with mine.

Like you I was a little disappointed that my 997.2 was muted. It felt like Porsche had punished the original owner for not checking the PSE option when ordering. . I looked into PSE but $4k seems ridiculous for a simple cosmetic aural mod.

Fister Motorsports does a great job - it's cost effective, throaty, and it won't wake the neighbors or cause your significant other to complain when you are driving in it together.

My brother has PSE and Sharkworks center pipe on his '10 C4S and it sounds terrific. I wish my wife would let me install that same pipe on her '10 C4S with the existing PSE but she says "Don't mess with my car". I may slip it on her car one of these days and see what she says.....

About to revive an old thread. I was planning to do the Gundo Hack + Sharkwerks center x pipes this weekend. I have a CPO 09 C2S. I called the service manager at the dealership and he says it would void whatever it is connected to (referring to the x pipes), meaning the warranty on the cats/headers would be voided. This manager was a real sarcastic d*ck, so I'm thinking he just thought i was wasting his time on the phone and he was just throwing out generic answers to end the call. Has anyone gone to the dealership with these mods and found out for sure it does not affect CPO warranty?

Cpo

I bought a cpo from a Southern California Porsche dealer where there are many sarcastic d*cks in service.
I installed Tubi exhaust and x pipe and pss10 suspension and have taken it back for various service issues with no comment or complaint re: cpo.
The exhaust systems mentioned in prior posts don't interfere with catalytic converters.

I have Fister (gundo) side mufflers and Fabspeed x-pipe on 997.2 cab. It sounds perfect imo. Especially on startup and at 3500+ rpm

The sales rep who I purchased from confirmed from the mechanics in their service dept the x pipes will not affect warranty. Green light and piece of mind!
