I read 9 pages of searches and came up with nothing. I installed it this weekend and it was great for 15 minutes, then I stopped got some ice cream turned the car back on CEL pops on. The only thing I read was possibly installing the MAF sensor backwards. Not sure that is possible but maybe. Anyone else have this issue. Yes, I installed the sock. Even read about using two socks which would seem to be counter intuitive. Any ideas.
I stuck my OEM box back on and CEL did not come on.

Looks like you diagnosed the problem.

 

And you also learned about a true CAI.They don't produce cold air in an engine compartment when subjected to nothing but engine heat!A CAI filter has to have nothing but cold air from the outside of engine bay to do any good PERIOD!All they do is draw in dirt!K&N is about the worst filtration in the off-roading world!Hate to pop your bubble...Just run a decent filter in your OEM box!
