Whats a good Insurance Company / Rate
Whats a good Insurance Company / Rate
Hi Everyone.
Quick question.....I have a 2008 Carrera (Non-S) and I pay about $950 p/a for a limited mileage policy for 5k miles through AAA (with my other car and house).
Is this good, bad, OK? any better places i should try? I really do only do 5k miles as C4SPER is a garage queen (king)!
Thanks in advance

People posting their #s compared to yours isn't going to be of any help b/c there are too many variables: coverages, deductibles, age, credit ratings, driving record, # of drivers, # of other cars, city you live in, etc...
Best suggestion would be to find a local multi-line agent and have them price your entire insurance portfolio and exposures across various carriers and then do the same w/ another multi-line agent. Compare and decide from there.
Much like homeowners insurance in FL, not every will want to write a P-car. Some carriers will over-rate h/o ins and under-rate car or vice versa so it's good to look at the total package IMNSHO.
Good luck
PS - I have nothing to do w/ the ins industry but know a number of producers, etc.

I have been with USAA for over 25 years (home and auto). I haven't cost-compared their rates but their customer service is AAA+. Claims are handled quickly and their recommendations for collision repairs/glass are very dependable.
Ask your local Porsche club guys who they're insured with in your area. You don't have to be a member of the club to have them share that info with you.
+2. Nothing about you is relative to anyone else here, and visa versa. Shop the companies in your area and choose the one that fits you best.
