Joined the 997 club yesterday.

2012 has been a pretty good year for me so far...I built a new garage with a lift, bought myself a new Jetta wagon TDi for a "family car", a few weeks ago my beautiful wife gave birth to our Son (reason for the wagon) So I thought I'd end it by treating myself.

2005 Base Carrera pretty well optioned (Sport Chrono, PASM, Bose stereo, etc.)

Haven't had a chance to take any good pictures, these are from the seller

Loaded up and heading home.

Here it is in my new Garage Mahal...nice and warm under the heater.

Nice car. Great garage! You store the BMW on a 2 post lift? any ill effects on the suspension having the wheels hang like that over time? I'd kill for a 2 post lift in my garage, I just cant fit it with my low ceiling.

I prefer a 4 post to keep my toy up and out of the way as I feel it is safer and I have no worries parking under the lift. My ceiling is 12'.

Thanks for the kind words!

I don't really "store" my car up in the air, it was just up in the air to do some work on it. In a pinch during a snow storm I may do that just to get all 4 cars into the garage (they fit 2 deep on the lift side), but most of the time the cars are on all fours.

Congrats Xander !! That's an amazing looking car you purchased and a great way to treat yourself Any plans on modifications ? I love the garage, what kind of mileage are you getting with the TDI ?

Thanks! I wind up modding every car I own, so I'm sure some things will happen to it...the garage is great so far, and the TDi sees a solid 40mpg with it's daily driving. (measured filling the tank vs. miles traveled)

Don't worry, you guys get plenty of my business between the VW, BMW and now the Porsche.

sounds like an exciting year indeed!
love the garage, I wish I had one..........but the money
that would cost......I could have another nice toy to play with!!

congrats on the purchase....
have you been longing after that one for a while??
I had never considered Porsche before, I guess due to the sportiness of the Marque,
but now that I've gotten older, I guess I like driving more now.....
my other two cars are auto's, with everything done for you: lights windshield wipers etc..oh, keyless go(love that stuff).....while my Targa is a stick, I need to turn things on....use a KEY! LOL......
it's such a great, different thing for me on the days when I don't need four doors....
of course with that being said, I still ended up getting a toddler seat for my daughter haha

Just give it sometime That's pretty good for a wagon, I'm right around 42 with my MK3 Jetta but she has seen better days. Thank you for the support, we do have all your car angles covered.

Beautiful car! How many miles? Does it have the L & N replacement intermediate shaft bearing?
