Sound limit
Sound limit
Thinking about either the Gundo or Fister hack. But I am wondering if anyone with any of these hacks every ran into issues on race tracks with sound limits. Laguna-Seca usually has 92 dB
Or I have to replace my beautiful quad exhaust pipes with Laguna pipes ....

For Laguna-Seca: The track exists since the fifties and was built into the middle of (beautiful) nowehere. Long time later people started to build nice homes in the vicinity, well knowing that there's a racetrack nearby. Then they sued the track for the noise (yeah, don't get me started). Result: L-S has now 4 days a year with no sound limit, which of course are reserved for major events.
The only track I know in my neck of the woods with no sound limit at all is Buttonwillow, which is (you guessed it) in the middle of (not-so-beautiful) nowhere.

^^^ Technically Thunderhill & Infineon have a 105db limit. I have never been meatballed for sound at Infineon. But if you can believe it, I have at Thunderhill which is truly in the middle of nowhere!!!!!
So I picked up a Tubi exhaust for a good price (only the side cans, not the the center bypass) and wouldn't you believe it, I got meatballed in Laguna Seca yesterday
95 dB on a 92 dB day.
But short-shifting before the sound station took care of it (but didn't have such a good effect on my laptimes ;-)
Nevertheless the sound of the Tubi under WOT at full RPM is amazing, sounds truly like a Cup car.

Saw that you are in the Bay Area, let me know if you are around the Santa Clara area and I can let you listen to decide for yourself.
Thanks for the offer. I will be out of pocket for the next 2 weeks, but I'll take you up on your offer when I'm back in town
Sounds good- looking fwd to meeting my 6Speed bay area neighbors soon enough
