My GT3 does it, as did my C2S.

I wouldn't be concerned.

I thought I read recently that the number of flashes indicated a specific fault code but I never saw any follow-up posts. You might ask the dealer next time you're in. Did you ever resolve your "airbag not active" issue? Related??

My Airbag lamp never goes on????

On My 02 996 I just noticed my airbag lamp doesnt light and my seatbelt lamp doesnt light??? Could it be serious or is it just a fuse? Is there something easy to check or should I just go to thr dealer?

mine used to light up - along with all the other ones that temporarily light at start up - and then turned off with the rest. BUT since i turned off my AWS, the dash light now flashes a few times at start up before turning off. FYI, i had to turn off AWS when i installed GT2 seats since the weight sensor wouldnt self-calibrate.

is your center console "Passenger airbag..." light now doing funny things (or not illuminating at all)? maybe an issue with AWS as, from my comment above, it's possible they may be related.
