Removing a wrap after years of use - damage?

I know this has been discussed several times, but I am wondering if anyone has removed a vehicle wrap from their car specifically after 3-4+ years of use, and if the paint/clearcoat underneath was damaged at all?

I've been toying with the idea of getting a wrap, but I would likely leave it on the car for awhile and I want to make sure that it's not going to affect the paint underneath if removed.

From what i heard it doesnt do any damage to the paint. Im also debating about the wrap job. Its good to get some feedback on people who removed it after a few years. Lets wait and see peoples experiance

But you do have to watch the installer also as they can also do damage.

is the wrap thing the "clear Bra"?

If it is, it doesn't damage the paint at all, I just got my car couple of weeks ago and it had one installed, they told me base on records it was placed there about 4 years ago, I asked them to removed it and put a new one in, I saw the car before the put the new one and it looks just like "Show room" condition.

I was worry that Sun/Water and normal usage would change the color on the non-covered part and it would look different, but that was not the case, you could tell that there was anything there before.

My $0.2

My wife has this on her Audi. She had it taken off in two spots that had very minor damage to have it repaired. No damage done to the paint and no discoloration at all when it was removed. Frankly I was amazed. I was against her getting this put on when she bought the car.
BTW she had new wrap reapplied.

I'm referring to a vinyl wrap (i.e. matte black, matte white, etc.). I have a clear bra on my car now, but I'm going to be removing it this year so I'm contemplating a wrap on the car instead. Clear bra was on for four years and wrap will probably be on for another four if I do it
