I had a nav-tv ipod module installed and now it appears I need to have it programed for a cd changer.

This isnt a big deal but the dealer wants $150 to program and my independent wants $130.

Has anyone paid a lesser price?

 

I have heard some get it for free. It is all up to the relationship you have with your service provider.
Maybe you could bring it in for an oil change and they might do it cheaper or for free.

 

I asked on my dealer when i got the car and they told me just to bring it and they would do it for free, out of curiosity I asked another certified shop, and they quoted me $85.

 

Know anybody with a Durametric Pro in the area? Pretty sure you could change the CD changer config settings with it. Local PCA perhaps?
