Let us know how it goes with EPE or if you choose another place. Curious as I'm thinking about getting an aero kit installed on my '11 C4. Cheers and good luck.

A bit late I know,
But European Motosports in Lawrence did quick and inexpensive work on my C4cab.

All told it was a good experience, tho it cost me an arm and a leg. I dealt with Jerry exclusively and he was always willing to explain things and talk about whatever.

They clearly know what they are doing, all of them. And from what Jerry says the guy who runs Eurotech in Framingham is an old employee of his.

So all told I had the following replaced and/or done:

Clutch Kit
Clutch slide tube and brace
Rear main seal
Front brake rotors and pads
Serpentine belt
Spark plugs
Cabin filter
Engine filter
Water pump
Oil change

Total cost of $4,785 but it had to be done.

I will be sure to bring the car back there for future oil changes and any maintenance. I would recommend them to anyone.

In the end its really tough to find a good place. There are quite a few shops that do just Porsche so finding the right fit can be hard. For me they were the cheapest for the clutch. And from there on out were straight forward with what was going on. You could use Eurotech or anyone else that was listed and be happy I am sure.

Personally going to a place that only does Porsche meant they knew exactly what they were doing. And the hope is that you can build a relationship with them for future work. That makes me feel much better about plunking down nearly 5k!

I would if I could. I don't have the time or the tools...or the the most important part a garage

At 6 hours for just the clutch it would have taken someone who had never done it before well into 10 hours with distractions and not knowing what I am doing.

Agreed, you probably don't want to do the clutch. But, oil changes, brakes and stuff don't need special tools or garages to get done. Not busting them, just saying you can save a ton of $$.
For major work, try EXOTECH, Plaistow NH I realize a little far away, But he could have saved you $$, all he does is Porsche. Is a tech inspector for NCR PCA, and one hell of a driver. His name: Mark Nadler

There are plenty of DIY Threads on here and Rennlist.

Well is over now, but when you're ready to another Oil Change Ping me and I'll help you out. Good Luck

Rob

Thanks for the suggestion of EXOTECH. I will look into them.

And yeah I could do oil changes and brakes but in 30 degree weather I would rather not

I was pleased with the costs. The clutch was $1900 after taxes, which was far cheaper than any place else I called. The dealership wanted $2300. And they both quoted that same amount for the clutch kit so it all came down to hours for install and shop rate.

As you say I expect the costs were fair for what was done just hurts when a cost like that arrives that equate to over 10% of the cars value.

I also think it underlines while these cars are now relatively cheap to buy they are not cheap to run. Will keep my fingers cost that I don't have a bill that large for a couple of years
