Thanks to everyone on this forum past, present and future!
I would like to thank everyone on here who has participated in sharing valuable information. Not only have I received great advice since joining the forum, I have found tons of information through searching the archives.
So far I have pieced together a new sound system although I haven't started the install yet.
I got the clear side markers and have ordered the LED amber lights so that the amber is only seen at night.
I upgraded my interior with LED lights, as well as the license plate.
I changed out my cabin AC filter, and my engine air filter all without the need for a mechanic.
I did the "orange cap" mod bypassing the Helmholtz resonator, in essence doing the cold air intake but it didn't cost a penny. I used my dogs pill bottle cap, fits just as perfect if not better than the orange cap.
Lots of little touches here and there including leather care, waxing from suggestions and so on.
I joined the Porsche Club of America and hope to meet other Porsche owners in South Florida.
learning the proper shifting, braking and steering techniques, which may seem to be self evident but is certainly different than other cars and therefor great info.
I got a racing performance tire gauge to accurately pressure the tires, and learned the difference between the manual and innerdoor recommendations, as well as using common sense judgment on environment and driving conditions.
And yesterday I just got my car back from having the "Gundo Hack" done.
Freaking super amazing awesome dang righteous and wonderful! NOW the Porsche sounds like a Porsche! What a cool as heck cheap mod!
So I also want to thank all the future posters as I am far from done fixing this gem of a "car" up. Someone today mentioned that I can't drive fast in Key West, so why a Porsche. It's not the speed so much as the overall driving experience, and there is plenty to behold in this town to fully enjoy the ride at any speed.
So here's to all 6 speeds, and all that is online!

Congratulations on starting out by doing some minor maintenance and mods on your car. I think you'll find, like me, that the more you work on these cars, the more you learn about them and become less intimidated by taking on more challenging projects. I too have benefited immensely from information I've obtained from this forum that has made what could have been very challenging jobs into fairly easy ones.
