upgraded springs, now getting numerous fault codes
Hi Guys
Over the past few days I've been through the process of upgrading the springs on my 997. I installed a set of Eibachs, and finally got it finished today. After getting the car down I took it out for a test drive. Everything felt fine, but I got many fault code errors on the console. PSM fault, brake fault, check brake pads wear, ABS fault, and eventually a complete system fault with the lightning bolt. WTF?
I thought they would clear after a couple of minutes but no dice. I know that I made double sure that I reconnected all of the electronics leading to the brake calipers when I put it all back together again. Is there any way that those sensor leads could go in backward or anything? It sure looked like they were keyed to only go in the right way.
My car just has PSM. I have no idea why that would get messed up over just changing the springs. During this process I never disconnected the battery. The only electronic thing I touched was those sensor wires leading to the calipers. I never opened the brake lines so there was no need to bleed the brakes.
Any thoughts about what could be causing all of this? Is it normal when swapping out the springs?
Thanks, Derek

I would disconnect and reconnect the ABS connections which you removed during the install. When I installed my suspension I experienced a PSM fault which cleared itself after I turned the car on and off again.
Worst case take it to a local indy shop or the dealer and have them run diagnostics.
