There isn't much fender gap, never measured it so don't know the exact numbers. No rubbing at all, You can certainly go over speed bumps but I usually go really slow when I see one. My front end is inches from the ground.

I think that is comparable to the Eibach sport kit, I am going with the Pro Kit for a 1" drop.

Eibach

I have Eibach. Lowered 1 inch on base 997 I would not
lower any more cause even at 1 inch, I have to be very careful with driveways and
dips in the road etc.

+1... Love the look of the H&R's, but that extra quarter of an inch would have made just enough difference to make driving a bit of a pain in certain areas. The Eibachs are perfect.

65,000 miles on H&Rs now between two 997's as DD's and very few issues. Ride is close to stock, speed bumps can't be sped across and an occasional steep driveway is best avoided or can be negotiated at an angle but other than that I really don't see what the big deal is.

I believe its a matter of choice. From the research I have done it depends on who you ask and the overall purpose. On some forums they blast the quality of bilstein on others like this one they are considered gold. Here are the reasons I chose the H&Rs

1) My purpose of lowering is purely aesthetics and do not really see the car being tracked
2) I don't want to fully compromise ride quality
3) I believe Porsche to have engineered the shocks/spring combo as a set and any change of one or the other compromises that engineered design
4) H&R springs and shocks in the kit are engineered to work in unison
5) H&R has been a very reputable German company for a while and I did not find a bad review on the coilovers
5b) There were some bad reviews about springs but one could argue that #3 I mentioned above could be the reason.
6) They are adjustable so I can lower or raise to my preference
7) H&R makes some of the OEM parts for Porsche, it you look at some of the GT cars from factory you will see H&R on the springs
8) I was curious if it was coincidental that the lowering rake and height of the kit out of the box would take my car to about the height of GT cars
9) Good price and compromise of just getting springs versus paying for the bilstein setup.

Thanks for the info. I really wouldnt track the car so i guess that H&R setup is pretty good and the price seems right. Would it be compatible if i have the pasm? Or does the wrench on my dash get nixed? I believe the bilstiens work with pasm setup i dont know about the H&R's. is your car pasm? Thanks

Don't officially know the answer, however when I ordered they had different model # for the PASM cars versus non PASM, you can always call H&R. (888) 827-8881
