Idk if that setup would fly in ny. From what i know your not allowed to bend the plate where it shows the states name ect. Might as well put the plate on your dash. Leo's need to know what state the cars from i think. But i could be wrong

To keep the size (well maybe 1/8" inch trim) and keeping the State Name, etc., use the setup below. Before and After pics are below.

My dealer (Sunset Porsche) stocks a tow hook license application by www.gominigo.com . High quality materials and includes all necessary hardward for complete installation of bracket and plate. I'm very satisfied.

If anyone is interested, I bought a new Pro Mount several years ago for my 996 and never used it. Now I sold my 996 and my 997 has a front mount. I paid $149 for it I think and will give you a deal. It fits all of them if you look; 996, 997, 991

Just drop me a note. Probably put it on eBay if no one here is interested. Rather sell it to one of you guys.

I have the electric hide-the-plate on mine. I've scuffed it a few times in the past month or so, but it's pretty discrete, and I like not having to do anything besides push a button to have or hide the plate.

Hmmm. Guess I can't attach the video from mobile. I'll try later when I'm at the computer. At least with the photo you can see the plate hidden beneath the bumper, just under the passenger radiator opening.

Testing video clip:

I used the Rennline tow hook, along with their Go Pro mount. I then modified a Go Pro mount to fit a license plate so I can very quickly switch from camera to license plate. I keep the plate on until I get to track etc.

Modified Rennline for GoPro & License Plate

Here are some pics. Easy modification of GoPro mount using a file.
