Hey how does GT silver compare to arctic silver?
Ive had an arctic and now drive a polar but I dont think Ive ever seen a GT silver in person.
Thanks once again everyone for the compliments and the warm welcome.

In regard to the color, it was purely luck that I ended up with GT silver. When I walked into the dealer, I had no intention of picking up the GT Silv, and was planning on allocating the $3000 towards other things (ie: Chrono/PASM) -- but I fell in love instantly. The GT silver has a darker hue than the arctic. The pictures I've seen of both colors make it real hard to distinguish the two from eachother in photos, but it's pretty blatent in real life. Both colors have that metallic shine, and are beautiful in their own right.

My last three cars have been black, so the luxery of having my car appear semi-clean after a week of rain with the silver is definetely an added bonus.

Thanks Erik. While I do agree that it is a good looking car, after browsing the cargraphic catalogue for the 997 I do see some room for drastic improvement Hopefully I'll be adding additional CG products on her in upcoming months.

Congratulations!

First major mod should be an exhaust. You cannot fully appreciate these cars without realizing the aural feedback of the sweet flat 6.

Yeah, that's what I had on the agenda actually. There are so many exhausts (Cargraphic, Fabspeed, Speedart, etc) and so few sound clips, so I definetely need to do my research based on feedback here on 6speed. I had a Supersprint system on my M3, which I see they also have available for the 997, which I was fairly happy with.
