Bolt in roll bar for 997.2 cabriolet

Hi,

I've been looking for a bolt in roll bar for my 2010 C4S cab, without much success. It appears all of the bolt in bars are designed for coupes only. I found one for cabs from DAS, but it requires drilling for floor plates. Anyone else that's found a source for a bolt in bar for my occasional track days?

Thanks,
TD

You may not need the roll bar on your CAB, since you have the pop-up roll bar. You need to clarify this with your local track. Here in Georgia the PCA and most tracks do not require a bolt in roll bar on the CAB as long as you drive with top up and have pop-up roll bar.

i can't picture a built-in roll bar or roll cage in a cab..

actually, i can picture it, but its not a pretty sight.. lol

if u r serious about tracking, i would suggest getting a coupe or GT3

my 2 cents

Roll bar

Windboat--you're right, I've done track days in my last two cars (BMW cab and this Porsche) with just the factory pop up protection. But, I'm not sure it's as much physical protection as I'd like to have between me and the track if things go bad. Just researching my options for more protection.

Carlos--I had a color-matched DAS bar in my 964 a couple of cars back, and thought it looked awesome. It added a sporty touch to my otherwise factory car. To each his own, right?

Thanks,
TD
