v35 l Project 997 continually evolving
Haven't posted up any updates in a while but I've been busy with new mods once again to refresh my 997. First major change was replacing my Work Meister's with another set of custom ordered Work Meister S1 3-piece wheels ordered and built from Work Wheels in Japan. Feel free to PM me regarding more information as to where I ordered these wheels.
I got a rare sneak peek of the build process of my wheels from the factory in Japan thanks to the Fatlace blog: http://fatlace.com/2013/02/7-days-in...heels-factory/
Work Wheels Warehouse

Work welds the Barrel and Lip together

Applying assembly bolts

Balancing the wheel

Making sure the wheel is true.

Applying Silicone on the bead

Applying glue onto the backside of the rivets

Clean.

Each wheel has the specs and a serial number laser tagged.

Ready to ship out

Next I installed the IPD 'Competition' plenum and GT3 throttle body to mate up perfectly with my X51 Carbon Airbox.

I decided to make and install a mesh grill for my GT3 bumper, and while I had the car up I decided to install the X51 center radiator kit. I purchased the kit from ECS Tuning which had the best price anywhere.

Lastly, I installed a set of Recaro Sportster CS seats in full leather. Tony at Speedware Motorsports was such a great help and they are a great source for the Recaro Sportsters or any other Recaros. I got the mounting hardware from FVD and consists of all Recaro factory hardware.

If anyone decides to install this on their own I can give some advice, they were a little bit of a PITA to install but they'll go in after some wrestling.
Thank you Dave. Yes, the rear wing AND the rear bumper are both from Precision Porsche. The decklid seals against the intake perfectly. I looked through the decklid vent this morning with a flashlight and it sits on the duct of the intake perfectly with no gaps for air to escape.
Wow Aaron, you have done it again! The new wheels look amazing, the behind the scenes factory shots are awesome.
Your taste is always impeccable, another successful round of mods, well done!
