Convertible top water leak

Hey there,

Last night heavy rains came through and this morning on the passenger side there was water all over the passenger side speaker grills. There were a few drops hanging from the window a pillar seal but I think it came further up where the top meet the A pillar.

Has anyone else experienced this issue and has a potential remedy?

Berndindallas is infamous around these parts
Not sure this could be it, but I noticed that when my battery was about to crap out the windows on my cab did not close all the way up after opening the doors....Took me a few days to notice but I think it was the passenger side that acted up first.

I have something similar, dripping onto the right passenger seat right thigh bolster during heavy rain while parked. Coming from the seal at the top of the windshield, dripping off of the tiny funnel shape rubber edge. Won't have rain around here until October, so I am saving it up for my next trip to the dealer.

Yes, this sounds like exactly the spot that i have water coming through. I have attached a picture. You will see a little gap between the internal fabric and the rubber itself. That seems to be where the water is coming from. Not to mention, when i roll the windows down and back up, the inside of the window is wet.

i hope this had nothing to do with me jacking up the driver side front to get access to the manual cable to pop the luggage compartment. i was told that you shouldn't jack up the car with the top up as it could twist the top? But there was nothing that i could do, the battery was disconnected so i couldn't drop it.

Anyhow, any help would be appreciated.

I had some seal work done by my home dealer as the windows weren't closing completely on the first hold of the close top switch. I usually need to depress the switch a second time to get them all closed, as they seem to bind up and recoil before all closed. They replaced some seals for the top and I am suspicious they didn't adjust it all right. Then I spoke to another dealers service rep on the leak (had a flat on a trip) and he said adjustments can be done but may take a bunch of mechanics time to find and said I should go back to my home dealer. I am also suspicious it only happens in the cold as the parts may be shrunk in size. Maybe there is a simple adjustment on how tight the top is squeezed by the closing mechanism...

Sorry I don't have any DIY help.

I've never heard of any issue of jacking the car with the top up. Body flex is minimal, and the roof flexes enough not to be bothered with any minor chassis flex. Ever notice how you can jack up the car at one of the front jack points and get both front wheels and one rear off the floor? It is a very stiff chassis. I would have dealer check the seals, or you could try to compare yours to someone else's.
