Update on options to add BT and usb/aux/ipod to bose system

I've been scouring the threads on the options for this in my 2008 997tt cab and it seems they have all died out. Is it fair to summarize that:
--Dension 500 was the best but didn't include BT, yet worked OK from an ergonomics and good from a sounds standpt. BT can be added as a module and this may be the best <$1000k option total
--Dension 500s BT is the newest model but so far seems worse than the regular 500 given bugs, need to reset, etc, and BT is inconsistent. Eric from bumperplugs implied a new firmware was coming, but this was many weeks ago.
--Mobridge is adequate but had unfixable audio flaws with beeping
--NAV-TV is also not on par with Dension (?)
--Replacing with an aftermarket HU is approx $700 for the MOST adapter and perhaps more for the cosmetic bracket/fascia, let alone the cost of a good double-DIN unit, plus some (largely irrelevant) features of sport chrono are lost.

I usually play from an ipod playlist and occasionally browse through a list of several hundred artists to find the album that I like on shuffle. I want good audio quality and good enough BT, and don't need fancy display or nav and don't desire to spend far over $1000. Should I just wait out the new firmware on the Dension 500S BT?

Also, does the Dension or an aftermarket HU destroy the CPO status with Porsche?

I'm not very afraid of the installation, I've gutted the stereo on most of my prior cars and consider this somewhat minor by comparison, but I get a bit bummed when my CD player skips over bumps!

Thanks for any input, I've been very unclear on the current status of things.

500SBT is on firmware version 0048 now, and we're beta testing 0049. This was to resolve some connectivity issues found with a few iPhone 5 installs. 0048 provided some adjustment for a few units that experienced sound issues with calls.

At least we know Dension is an R&D outfit, not tossing other's products in a box with their own label on it. We get beta firmware after a few weeks of their in house testing, and try it on a few vehicles before release.

CPO issues depend on the dealer. We've seen one dealer in 7 years say they would not install the unit on a car. One. Otherwise, there is no cutting of wires/optical/etc and the entire thing is reversible without issue.

Feel free to hit my email anytime with questions/concerns/updates.

Thanks.

Eric,
Can you let me know when there is resolution with the Iphone 5. I would like to try the Denison as soon as you know the Beta version worked. Thanks!

Thanks eric! I'm not an iphone user but would you say in general that the 500s bt is now relatively reliable, or is it still deemed "buggy"? I've seen many individual complaints but I certainly recognize that such complaints may not be the norm. Is it as reliable as the older 500 unit for example?

Bought my unit w/BT from Eric and it was a pretty easy install w/the help of some DIY's posted by other forum members. Worked w/o incident. Had iPod Touch and a Driod OS phone.
