muffler bypass
muffler bypass
I have a 997.1 S and deciding whether to go take off my gundo mufflers and replace with something like a fabspeed muffler delete/bypass. I cant seem to get any clarity on whether I lose power or low end torque?! And what about sound? Louder and more agressive then the gundos?
Thanks
Thanks

Everyone is different as far as what they do or don't like and what their definition of "too loud" is. I was trying to make the same decision as you but ultimately decided to go with the muffler bypass. There is definitely a slight loss of low end torque, but I happen to love the sound. Will I switch to gundo one day? Maybe, but each time I thought about making the switch I knew I'd miss the nasty growls that my 997 lets out with the bypass. It's such a simple and cheap mod, that I'd give it a shot and see if it's for you or not.
Did a SharkWerks by-pass, sound is loud with PSE on, but it is amazing!! Do not notice any low end torque loss that you speak of??. When people say they can notice such a slight change in HP or Torque, I think a lot of that is a mental thing, you mind is making you want to believe something that you have heard. Mine still snaps me back in my seat before and after the By-pass.
