997 vs 997s

those who got the 997, any regrets not getting the 997s?
I am planning out my next car purchase which will be within 12 months. If it's 997 then it could be sooner than 997s. So now i am really trying to see if I should wait or would I just be happy with the 997. I am not a professional driver by any means and probably the extra 30hp won't do me any good. I honestly feel the 10k would be better spend on driving programs or other things.

let me hear your 2 cents...

BD 997 is infamous around these parts
I walked into the showroom in february... there was 2 997's there... an "S" and non "S"... the "S" was GT Silver and the non "S" was Arctic Silver... I got the non "S" cause I liked the Arctic better...plus the non "S" had PASM and 19"wheels...Sticker was only like 7k difference so money was not an issue... I knew I was gonna mod it out anyways so no regrets here.... But if they both were arctic of course id take the S

The S was a perfect choice for me because I wanted the Xenon lights, bigger brakes, the white dials, PASM and the engine HP was just icing. For the $10K it is really worth the investment IMHO and the resale value is one of the best out there. I'm not planning to sell, but in case the ceiling fell down on me I could get out with very limited risk....good luck with your choice!

i got a 997 instead of spending the money on the S i spent it on a cab whcih i thoroughly enjoy. The cabs at this point are also a rare commodity.

i take the cab to DE events and i am satisfied on how it performs, it's very rigid ya know what i mean.

Get the S with the "Sport chrono package" - you will not be disappointed, especially with an aftermarket exhaust system...
