Cool write-up. I live in South Florida and the heat can be brutal in the Summer months but as long as you stay hydrated and keep close access to AC and shade it's just like being anywhere else, imo.

Glad you enjoyed your trip! I HATE the roads in Miami and actually just went to Marco Island for my vacation this year to avoid having the **** kicked out of my Porsche but it sounds like you made it work!

 

Great summary of your trip. Next time give us (South Floridian) a call, so we can meet for a supper. I'm glad you had a great trip with your family and you lovely ride!! I guess I did not lied about the cops in northern Florida and Georgia.

have you ever tried taking the car train from around DC?

 

I heard that before, but have not yet researched on it.
I think it may be expensive.

By the way, I calculated my gas cost this morning from all my receipts:
FOR INFO:
2905 miles to FL and back to NYC (some local driving)
22.4 Average MPG

467.67 in gas TOTAL
