Guys, i am sorry if this is obvious but after spending a lot of time reading these Led threads
i have a question.

IS Fvd selling the dectane's leds? as a reseller or FVD's leds are a different product?

Dectane doesn't make the lights - they are a distributor like FVD, Car Light Pros and others. DEPO is the manufacturer and while I'm not certain that the DEPO product is sold by FVD, they look like the DEPO product.

What's your real question and what are you worried about? FVD is a trusted vendor - buy from them and move on.

my real question is whether FVD and Dectane is the same product.

If you feel disturbed by my question, you can move on to the next thread.

Not disturbed, just curious. Two suggestions:

1) Contact FVD directly.
2) Maybe someone who has purchased from FVD can check on the fixture itself to see if DEPO is stamped on it - mine have the DEPO name on them but I purchased from a different vendor who also claimed the lights were made by Dectane.

Based on their info you cant run daylight leds without their module. Find it strange as the daylight module is configured through PCM.

I thought you said Dectane does not manufacture just resales the lights

I ve read a lot of posts and debates over Dectanes vs Rott's but did not see FVD mentioned in these threads.

Thus, i am wondering, whether I ll be buying the same product, through FVD or dectane. Price is not the same too.

I m debating over the whole front/rear package and PVD is the only one who mentiones the dimming module .

I did say that Dectane doesn't manufacture - they have an agreement with Car Light Pros for "exclusive" distributorship in the US so they sell the DEPO-manufactured product to Car Light Pro who then re-sells to customers like me. I imagine that FVD either buys from Dectane or from DEPO directly but i don't know that for a fact. FVD is a quality, world-wide vendor - I would have bought from them but at the time I purchased they were not offering the LED tail lights. I've had the DEPO lights installed since May, 2011 never any problems. Good luck with your decision.

That is a beautifull car you got there!

Please tell me if you bought also the module for the dimming from leds..

From what i understand this module dims the day light led when driving with the night lights on...
It also enables day light functioning according to FVD.

Not sure about that as the daylight function is enabled through PCM menu.

Could you please share your knowledge on this?
Also curious if the brake light are stil C shaped..

Thanks

I bought my LEDs from Shane at delreycustoms. Very pleased with their service. Helped me install on the phone and quick to text. Fit and finish is perfect.
