It really is a 5 minute job. I replaced the steering wheel on me Grand Wagoneer and that took damn near an hour with a host of tools.

One little trick I use is to push the airbag in slightly while you release it... it pops out MUCH easier

Looks great...I'm in the midst of talking with Don to get mine done.

Hey guys,
Thanks for all the info.
The steering wheel on my 2012 GTS looks thick like the one in the picture. It doesn't have the deviated stitching though.
Did the GTS model come with a thicker steering wheel as standard equipment?

Do you guys know the size of the new wrap, circumference for example?

Just trying to make sure that the mod in my case would be a tangible difference.

Cheers to all,
NAV

I really like the red deviated stitching and extra thickness. Looks awesome!

Dang, I wish I went with contrasting deviated stitching on my DCT wheel, but it's too late now. Oh well...

Just measured my circumference at 4 1/4 for theGTS wheel. How did you decide how much thicker you wanted it?
Do you remember the before measurement?

How does the quality of the leather compare to the Porsche Premium Smooth leather? The pictures show the leather to be a little rougher?

Thanks
