Porsche Sport Exhaust
Correction. Not Super Sport, Sport Plus.
And no, there is no PSE button (which looks like a twin exhaust pipe). On a 997.2 with Factory SC and PSE, PSE open/closed is controlled via the SC.

Thanks for the clarification. Really glad I didn't get SC, especially since I don't have PDK.
It is easy to disconnect the wiring to keep PSE 'ON' all the time, ala Gundo. This is how my car is set up, and I don't think it is too noisy. I could not imagine a PDK car without SC.
Yep, that is a way to "fix" the problem, and I agree I wouldn't want PDK without SC. I think Porsche fixed this issue on the 991. Pretty sure on 991 you get a Sport, Sport Plus, and PSE button, even with SC.
Interesting. I thought there was a button/switch with PSE with SC on 997.2 also, but daberlin says no. I can't confirm since my GTS doesn't have Sport Chrono.
This is really odd. I've been shopping 997.2 Ss and GTSs, and I've seen lots of PDK cars that were factory-equipped with both SC and PSE. They've all had all three buttons: Sport, Sport+, and PSE. As far as I can tell, that third PSE button is there for the specific purpose of activating PSE without activating anything else in the Sport mode. What has been missing with this three-way combination is the separate PASM button, as I assume that function is solely controlled by the Sport/Sport+ buttons. Have I been hallucinating? The only difference on manual-equipped cars with SC and PSE has been that the PASM button returns, and the "Sport+" button disappears...

Pretty sure you are correct about separate buttons for Sport, Sport Plus, and PSE. Can't confirm the other stuff you mentioned because I have manual with no Sport Chrono. I do have a separate PASM button and PSE button. If daberlin doesn't have a separate PSE button, my guess is that his PSE was not factory installed and the dealer installed it later without the on/off button. His sig says his car is a 997 not a 997S, but I don't see why Porsche would not install the PSE button just because it is not a S.
Yes they can, but some owners choose not to get it because the installation is cheaper without it. Nonetheless, you confirm that the 997.2 does have a PSE button, even if Sport Chrono is installed.
