No...dealers sometime respray bumpers before selling. When you start respraying metal is when there is a risk that your car could be devalued.

Does anyone know of any good places in SoCal that does decent porsche bumpers?
Ask you Porsche deal who they use or recommend?

Excuse my ignorance on this topic. What is a respray? How is that different from a regular paint job?

My car is near perfect paint wise on the front, the PO had some rock chips and such touched up before I got the car. I have clear bra on the mirrors and rear wheel rock guards.

We've got a good local guy the comes highly recommended for clear bra installs. Sounds like $600 for the front bumper, fenders, redo mirrors and HALF hood. If I do the FULL hood it's $1000... but that may come with more coverage than just the full hood.

My question is on the half hood...how visible is the line? Should I get the FULL hood? My buddy has an 06 with probably the original bra kit and you can see the line of the old bra clearly. My car came SO nice and pristine I find myself afraid to scrub much on the front and hood to remove the bug $hit that's on the car after every drive. So having something I could be a little less careful on would be nice. But then again, as mentioned, a $1000 is a LOT.

I would do the whole hood. The line has been pretty visible on every car that I've seen.
