Thanks everyone! ive always been a BMW guy when it came to regular cars, but this little c250 just impressed me- what you get for the price & its still a German car you can't go wrong if trying to save some $$

I know everyone has an opinion so here is mine. My wife owned a C300, nice all around car, extremely well built, very quiet, but in my opinion too underpowered for the cars weight. The other thing I struggled with is that like BMW 3 Series everybody has one. You were wise to make your own mods to personalize it. I'm sure that you will enjoy it. Stay safe.

Com'on, there are better ways to save money than giving up your porsche-mania. For example, if needed, one could stop heating house during winter, could home school the kids, cutting cable and internet and so on...

Just kidding. It is nice to have the perspective of a 911 owner on other brands. Enjoy your new car...

Agreed. Once I stopped putting money away for kids' college, my car funds just opened right up!

I think we are going to cut out one meal per day for one year, and see how much I save...

I think you're on(to) something!

What's the difference between the C250 and the CLA250?

You said you picked up the car in San Diego... if live near there, HGmotorsports is working on a nice tuning kit for the CLA250 (not sure if that's the same car).

Have fun!

It sounds like you took this negative event of your totalled car and created a new experience . I feel the transition is a heathy and wise choice . I do think you might eventually make it back into another Porsche but in the meantime enjoy the Mercedes . It's a beautiful car !!

CLA is FWD, new to the lineup, more aggressive styling. C250 is RWD.

not a fan of the CLA at all, looks too cheap imo, specially the interior display

I am surprised you are not back in a Porsche already. The C-class is a fine daily driver but it's a boring car.

Wife has a C300 and she loves it. Nice steering wheel but the car bores me. Best thing is she thinks it's "fast and sporty". Needless to say she ain't a car person but it works for her and it has been completely bullet proof so far. I am trying to convince her she needs the CLA45 amg that just came out. Pretty nice looking car and personally better looking than the C class
