hre p40, body kit for a 997.2s narrow body?

hello everyone,

It's been a while since my last post, I now had my 997.2s narrow body meteor grey for about 10 months, and I've been saving some money to start doing some mods to it but I have a few questions,

1. wheels: after looking at many wheels, I like the hre p40 however man the price for them is really high, almost like 5k I think for set of 4 (without tires), if that how much they really cost or anybody could give any prices or places where to buy them from where I could get a good deal. and also will they fit a narrow body??

2. body kit, I'd like to get the gt3 front and rear bumper kit however after reading here and on other websites I'm not sure if they will fit a narrow body?? anybody knows anything about it?

3. looking at the cost of doing all this, I've been considering maybe upgrading to a 997 turbo instead of spending between 10-15K doing upgrades on a c2s. any thoughts??

thank you!!

5K for a new set of P40's sounds about right. Check the classifieds section here and on Rennlist. I found a slightly used set of black P40's there for 3,500 in like new condition.

If upgrading to a turbo is on your options list then i will tell you to just do that. Turbos are specialcars in their own way and im assuming since you mention that you understand the specialness of these cars and want that.

+1

To the OP's point #3:

Just my 2c, you spend 10-15k on mods (not up grades). Body kits really reduce the value of the car. As a buyer, I would question why was it done? It's quality would not be the same as the factory parts. If I bought a damaged car ? Yes, body kits etc....

A modded car is something I shy away from. The money would be better spent "upgrading" to the turbo. I'd admit that I'm tempted from time to time, but I hold onto the money to buy the next pcar .

Just one more thought. If you plan on keeping the car for a lifetime, then value to sell or trade in is irrelevant.

FYI: Porsche does not 'certify' body kit modified cars.

Good luck with whatever you'd decide!!
Cheers
