2005 C2S cruise control light not working

Cruise control is working but the light doesn't go on anymore - I assume the light in the cluster is stuffed but can the computer get confused? Also seems to take a few tries to engage the cruise control, but the absence of the light may be confusing me.
Light doesn't come on when ignition key is turned on and I'm pretty sure it used to.

100% the cruise light comes on when key is turned in.

my lexus suv fog light-dash light indicator went out... and its been out for a while (foglights work fine).

the annoying thing about these dash light issues is that the mechanism in question normally is fine, but its the dash bulb that has blown... and 99% of the time the entire dash cluster needs replacement. no single replacable/removable bulb.

I have the manual and can see how to remove the cluster. Would the lamp be replaceable/resolderable? Or completely sealed inside it?

Yes, it was from the flat battery. You need to do a "handover" to reinitialize the car. The durametric wont do this.

Hello all, I'm experiencing the exact problem as the original poster. I've tried doing a vehicle handover through the PCM with no luck. Light does not come on at startup or when the cruise is engaged. Cruise otherwise works flawlessly. Any ideas? Really hoping it's not a bad instrument cluster (all of the other indicators work fine) as those are pricey to replace.
