Wheel refinishing in L.A.?

Hi Guys,

My 997 has a set of the Carrera III wheels. They're a bit beat up w/curb rash and scars from use. I don't think I'm ready to fork over the thousands of dollars to get a set of HRE P40s and the like right now. So I'm thinking of having the wheels refurbished. Can anyone recommend places in the greater L.A. area?

I might consider some other color than the original standard silver that comes on these wheels, though I'm not sure what would be a good choice at the moment. It would be great to find someone that could do a really high quality job and come up with an interesting color/design for my wheels.

Thanks, Derek

Call Wheel Enhancement in Culver City - one of the many board sponsors listed in the right side banner.

How much do you want to spend?
Just under $200 or so per wheel is the very lowest you will find (if that)......and that would be a re-do and minor blem repair.

I'm willing to spend the money to have the job done properly. I called Wheel Enhancement today. They're nearby, so I'll probably drop by their shop and see what their work looks like.

I was hoping to maybe just paint the spokes a different color than the rest of the wheel, but he said that doing so probably won't work well or be as durable.

Does anyone have any links to pics of what the Carrera III wheels look like when painted, coated or chromed?

Thanks, Derek
