Toyo Proxes 4 Plus?

Hi:

Anyone have experience with Toyo Proxes 4 plus tires? I wanted to order Bridgestone Potenza 970 AS Pole Position. Those are what I have now. However, no one has them in stock and it would take them two weeks to get here. Les Scwhab is trying to sell me on the Toyo Proxes 4 Plus saying it is better than the Bridgestones? Can y'all weigh in on this and give me some direction? Thanks.

Jesse

I know Porsche likes their own proprietary things, but please explain what the N means - like what makes it better for the Porsche?

Tire Rack can't explain it.....nobody I've spoken to can, tell us all you know other than they cost more.

Thanks!

BTW.....If you are a Philadelphia Attorney here's a bunch of words

Let me try: Porsche has a strong hand in developping tires for their sport cars and work with the manufacturers. When they are satisfied with the performance they award a "N" rating to the tire; Pirelli, Conti, Bridgestone, Michelin all have it. Subsequent iterations have a higher #: N1, N2 etc. Those tires are recommended by Porsche for their sport cars. PS2's are and so are SO2, Conti Sport Contact etc...

I bought my c2s with these tires which had around 50% life remaining. They were slippery in the wet, I could easily push the front or rear. Dry performance was mediocre at best. I did some autocross events and it didn't do well. I since changed to super sports which are amazing in comparison. What's your usage? If you plan de or autox events then I would definitely steer away from these. Good luck
