painted rims

I just wanted to know if anyone has had their rims painted and had a problem with chipping ? I know eventually I was going to get chips but I just put them on and have been doing very easy driving. I have touched up at least 8 chips. Is this normal ? Thanks

If you have them powder coated they won't chip. Unless you curb them.

not painted, but I have powder coated two sets of rims with no chipping issues.

Most wheel shops that do powder coat can match any color.

I hope you don't want an all white wheel because that's going to be impossible to keep clean. Most wheels, oem and aftermarket, are painted. How chip resistant the wheel is depends on the paint and application process.

Also, some wheel companies like HRE won't warranty a wheel if you have them powder coated.
