Not being overly familiar with the Carreras, I would appreciate input from the forum on issues that may come up with the 2006's or things I may need to look out for.

It comes with the Sports Chrono Package, BOSE sound system and Sports Exhaust. Thanks in advance for your input.
Buy with confidence. My -06 C4S had 4K miles on the clock when I bought it. I put an additional 42K miles on it virtually trouble free. It did make a trip or two to the dealer for repairs but they were so minor I can't even remember what they were. That said, if something bigger gives in it's not cheap so consider an aftermarket warranty if you're risk averse.

Biggest maintenance expense for me on both 997's I've owned are rear tires. 10K miles per set is the best I've managed and they approach $1K per set.

What tires are you running? I got 18k from my Hankook's. You must be riding hard or do you track?

Michelins and a few sets of bridgestones. No difference in lifespan. Both cars were lowered I should mention which doesn't help the rear tires even with a new alignment.
