Used Porsches
Used Porsches
I was playing around online and happen to find this website. I am not in the market for a new car but found a few seemingly good deals on some P-Cars (I especially like the 2012 Guards Red 911C4S).

So, I'm posting this for anyone that might be in the market. I don't know anything about the company but figured for some, it might be worth a look.
FYI, I have no affiliation with the company whatsoever and have nothing financial to gain from posting this at all.

I was curious since the prices do seem quite attractive... thinking they might be a place for a future car. The reviews I see in various places almost seem unnaturally stacked towards 5/5 ratings. This seems to conflict with the D+ rating that the Better Business Bureau gives them. They may be simply legit and aggressive in their pricing, but it just seems odd. I'd take care to get a full PPI before committing money there.

I have known about this company for a while and even know a couple of people who have made good transactions with them.
Their prices are always on the cheap end and for some reason I tend to stay away from ventures like these. If it works for you though then why not

If you click on the Carfax reports in their listings, you will notice that almost every car has accident history. About a month ago, I spoke with them about a 2011 997 GTS they had for sale. As much as I can remember, it was GT Silver with red full leather interior, about 28K miles, 6sp manual, nav, sport seats, SPASM, etc for $70K. Price was non-negotiable. The Carfax did not show any accidents, but they did not know any history about the car. The books were missing, and they had only one key. It was an auction vehicle, so there were obviously some issues with the car. They claimed that the tires and brakes had "about 50% or so" life left in them, even though the salesman had not personally seen the car (they have thousands of cars on their lots).
The sales people are not "car people" so they know very little about any particular vehicle. With virtually every car in their inventory showing previous accident damage on Carfax, I became very suspicious and decided not to risk it, even though the price seemed great. It is not worth trying to save a few bucks upfront, only to have a bunch of surprises crop up later.

5 out 7 911s they presently list show "air bag deployment," "accident reported" or, in one case, "structural damage." That doesn't mean the cars are necessarily bad. However, I wouldn't buy one without a trip to see the car, give it a good test drive and have a qualified mechanic look at it. For someone like me who has to travel a ways to get there, then a nice chunk of savings is now used up with investigative costs. Caveat Emptor.

The do have a ton of nice cars there. All are auction cars. It depends on what kind of buyer you are.....are you crazy about a small scratch or dent? If not then you may be able to find a great deal. Definitely do a ppi.
For me, personally, it goes beyond being super sensitive about a couple small scratches or dents. While I might be able to overlook a previous minor accident, I would also have to anticipate having a lot of difficulty selling the car in the future. Probably 80% or more of Porsche buyers won't even consider a car showing previous accident damage on Carfax.
Yes, you could potentially save some money purchasing one of these "accident" cars, but you would have to expect substantial difficulty and concessions when trying to sell in the future. Most people probably would end up trading-in the car, and trying to pass the sales difficulty onto a dealer.
