Hey Tarek,
I've been following you for quite a while mostly because your 997 was freakin gorgeous.
Come back! The 997 it calls to you. You know that all you really want is a nice 997. Maybe a 997.2, maybe a GTS....

I just realized I sold my 2007 E60 ///M5 for a 2005 C2S just like you. My M5 was beautiful, modded up and sounded ridiculously amazing. Still hated it on the day to day basis. I still have my P-Car. Don't drive it much but when I do it's awesome. You have a beautiful car there so enjoy it.
From my experience once you go Porsche... we will always find a way back when we stray off course!!

I call this phenomenon the "the car identity crisis" . Simply defined it's buying the wrong cars and trying to rationalize it. It's a combination of hoping to save money , picking a vehicle which offers some type of perk , and chalking it up to having outgrown a Porsche in some manner .
My guess is that you range in age from the late 20's to late 30's . By the time you reach 50 you will most likely come to terms with the fact that you MUST get the right car out of the gate because it's just to expensive and frustrating to get the wrong one .
In the meantime you modded this car which might actually make it even more of a financial loss if you sell it and it also requires more maintenance care if you decide to keep it .
My general feeling is that the moment I know the car isn't right that's the time to hedge the loss because every mile driven beyond the point it only depreciates further .

I don't know if the above is "THE Truth", but it certainly is "A Truth"!

To me cars are blank canvasses for me to make something of. I have been it doing longer(40 years) than some of you have probably been alive, No matter if it is a Porsche, Ferrari, or a Lamborghini, they all become something for me to make better (for me) My M6 probably had 50K worth of work to it (pulled engine reworked headers full exhaust full suspension redo) and I made as good as it could be for me at least. I kept it two years had no trouble selling it to someone who wanted the car that way. Cars are personal expressions if they were not we would all be driving accords, and for me like my novels they are a way to express my creative side.
