Need help with Fabspeed tips

Just received a pair of new diamond black fabspeed tips and they will not tighten around my exhaust. I can completely tighten down the tips and they are still too loose and will slide off the exhaust. Anyone have a similar experience with this issue and advice?

Did you get turbo tips? Turbo outlet is slightly larger than c2s. If you have a c2 and got c2s tips, you'll need an adapter. Fvd sells them. I got fabspeed turbo tips by accident and they were too big for my car. Now I have fabspeed x50 tips and they fit perfectly.

Thanks killacam, I've got a 997.2 C2S so I'm not sure why they're not fitting. In fact I originally had a set of the X50 tips they sell and decided I liked the black ones better. The X50 tips fit perfectly. I'm going to have to shim these to get them to fit. So much for an easy DIY

Return them to fabspeed. They will make it right. I have a full fabspeed exhaust and they gave me excellent customer service.

I just got a pair of the exact same ones and they fit my 997.2S, but I did have to tighten them a lot to get them to clamp down.

First make sure the C shaped inner ring is properly in place, its edge should be even with the mounting edge of the tip where it slips on. It's uncolored stainless steel, make sure it is inside on the edge there or that may explain the problem.

Then tighten it until you get the clamp to squash down almost tight. Get your final placement and rotation correct while you can still move it, then tighten the rest of the way down. I wish they had use a locking top bolt so that wouldn't just spin, but a simple open ended wrench will hold it just fine. On the second exhaust tip, I tightened it a fair amount before putting it on just to take out a lot of the slack while it was easier to get to. To be safe, be sure to put towels or some other cushion where you are working just in case the tip falls off when you first start tightening it.

See the last attached photo to see how much mine had to squish for it to get tight. The clamp doesn't look as clean as you'd like, but it works and holds just fine.

Thanks StormRune, I tried it again but this time, made sure the inner ring was perfectly against the outside edge of the tip. I had to tighten it down just about the entire way but this time it worked! Love the way these tips look
