Congratulations on the new car. It's beautiful!

Any previous issues with the 997?

Thumbs up

Thank you everyone. The folks that work for me really liked it today. Its just a little different which is what caught my eye.

Nothing that warranty didn't resolve. Nothing mechanical (always warm the vehicle before hard acceleration).

Biggest issue I remember is the dreaded PCM ghost - turned on and off by itself. I found this typically happened when using navigation. After multiple head replacements, I believe they corrected with the "right" software. This also was a problem with my phone's Bluetooth. Once they got the right software, no issues with either. Took numerous visits to resolve and was very aggravating.

Frunk switch broke. I'm very particular with my vehicles so I was very surprised that it broke. Seems an inexpensive set-up ready to break.

No other issues I can immediately recall. Good solid car!

Hey Dave, I got your PM. Unfortunately, I cannot reply to PMs either (still not enough posts). Hard to believe...I've been on 6-speed a couple years now. I guess I'm more of a reader and not a writer. Anyways, yes, definitely interested in Paddle Shift Wheel. Pics would be helpful. Next time you PM me, please include an email address. I'll also get busy posting to earn my PM privileges.

Nice! Love that color and combo!

My only expensive car wash at the dealer was the Lazer Wash and subsequent 120 grit terry towels they used. I didn't get a new 991..
only fcked up paint!

It wouldn't be hard to buy THAT 991 impulsively.. White with black wheels and stone guards.... Duck tail and clear tails to make a mean looking rear.... MORE PICS and I will know more of why you picked it up

Congrats!

As OCD as I am about EVERYTHING I would have had a heart attack!

This comment was pretty funny, "and subsequent 120 grit terry towels they used." Hope you aren't offended. Sorry to hear...

Thanks John ... I actually started modding after day two of bringing it home. (windows, black stone guards and matt black reflectors, clear turns). Dealer installed spacers for me today 7mm front, 15mm rear.

I snapped a couple pics today after the spacer install because another member wanted to see the 15mm in the back as the 991 is already more aggressive (stance) than the 997. He was worried going THAT big in the back. I like the stance, but will be going to 305's in the rear and may need to back off to 12mm or so.

Dave
