Hi all - my bonnet internal light is very erratic - should it allways turn on when when the bonnet is opened?

If so, any pointers as to why it would be not working? - can't see where the switch is to actuate it :-(

Just put a new LED build in and that made no difference.

 

I believe there is a time out afetr leaving the frunk open for a while, but front control modules are known to be erratic and they control the frunk light. The frunk light intermittently working is a common sign of the odd behavior of the front control module.

You can even blow the control unit by polishing the headlights! I've set off a whole bunch of codes and dash error message light many times by polishing the headlights. I just clear all the codes and everything is good again. My frunk light used to work intermittently, but for the last few months it's consistently worked correctly.
