My Porsche Commercial ( Spec)
It's pretty good! I've never made a commercial before, so I imagine it's a lot of steps, moving parts, story board, time spent getting everything / everyone together - editing, getting the sound right, etc. - not easy I'm sure.
I liked the concept, as a viewer I didn't really understand what was the story with the little boy.
Was it meant to appear that he was just going to crash right into the car?
That part made me all tense. haha!
I liked how the daughter had to try, try again to find the right 'look' to win dad's approval for the keys.
It would have been great to then cut to an exhilarating moment with the dad and daughter sharing a drive together, and the little boy in the back asking if HE could drive, and a look from both the dad & daughter acknowledging that they may be a confirmed family of Porsche addicts as the closing shot - or something like that, to pull all the characters together, and to make the story line more cohesive from beginning to end - but I'm no art director - just offering some thoughts.
I've watched a few other porsche spec commercials, and what I like about them is how they all tell a different story, but there is a passion that shines through equally in all of them. Different sound tracks, different shots, cut aways, angles, etc - but when they're done well, they remain with the viewer for some time afterwards.
Are there any porsche spec commercials you've seen that inspired you to make yours?
Is there anything you would like to change about the ad, or do you want to make other ones to go along with this one (like a serial commercial) ?

Cute family! My family does commercial work as well and kiddos started on a couple spec commercials before getting big gigs. Porsche ran a series of commercials back in 2011 called "Porsche Everyday.". They used contest winners for their storylines.

Kinda "new age" type commercial. I liked it but as a car guy I need to see more car.
But I understand how lots of new commercials are more about an image or thought rather than a direct shot to the product.
Thanks for sharing.

Car is coming just dong B-roll shots now and figuring out the movements. Really want to do like a real dark place with cuts of lights on specific parts intercut with car movement. Just, gotta figure out the lighting since it's all me.
