Does anyone use this? Mine arrived today seems like its made of plastic..

I use one. It should be anodized aluminum, not plastic.

Purchased mine from LN and it wasn't plastic.

I just bought one. Note the torque value.

This one is 19 ft/# whereas the factory is over 30 ft/#.

Your right it is aluminium, just felt very light. Did yours come with a little white round sticker on the hex saying 19 lb-ft ?

yup on the white sticker! The torque # is correct: I verified it at LN's site.


Interesting about the drop to 19 vs 37 ft/#. At least now, the filter and plug torque values are the same. This saves me a minute or two from having to adjust the torque wrench.

Let's just not overtorque this.

I've had mine for a while bought from PelicanParts. I'll use it when it's time for the old change.
