Hi guys has any one upgraded there stereos on there 997 and changed out the amp and speakers? i recently installed kenwood deck using the hur 997 module and found that i had lost sound quality with it. seems like equal amount of volume is coming from all speakers .dash.doors,sub. i actually think it sounds like hell. so i assume my only other option is to change my amp and speakers out in my car and ditch the fiber optic system? any advise on amp size.speakers to use,and what kinda cost this would be would be appreciated. i think my stereo shop sells hertz speakers and i have seen good reviews on hertz speaker/JL audio amp combo

 

The factory system is marginal. I swapped out my entire system (head unit, speakers, amp, etc.) and is very happy. Brand is subjective. Go to your stereo shop and listen to a few before deciding. I made sure everything was a direct swap in the event i wanted to return it to factory specs. Do your research and spend a little more to get it right the first time.
