Does anyone know when did Porsche start to make the 06 model cars? Furthermore, is there any difference between a 05 and 06 model?

 

2006 model year started during July. Basically the same as the '05, but the PCM version has been updated for '06.

 

What is the PCM update?

 

PCM - Porsche Communication Module. Basically the audio/phone/nav/Sport Chrono system. I believe it was version 2.0 for the '05, and is version 2.1 for the '06. I know, because mine arrived DOA, and had to be replaced, and couldn't be swapped with one from an '05.

A few other minor changes also took place, including (I think) a color change for the green exterior, and some interior trim options. I believe there's a thread on another board that details the exact differences.
