I was just curious so I checked Tire Rack's site for the price of rears for my 997S and it only lists PS2s at a price of $440 each! My car came with Pilot Sports.... are they discontinued already?

 

No, that simply means Pilot Sport Tire, 2nd generation. It won't list that on the side of the tire. It is simply listed as a Pilot Sport. There is a large chance that your tires are PS2's. Best way to find out is look at the tread of your tires. If it matches the picture of the PS2's on the Tire Rack site then you have PS2's, as the tread pattern of the initial Pilot Sports were very different.

 

Thanks, I thought it would be strange to not have PS2s on my car. Still $440 each is not a pleasant number!

 

They're PS2's. And the price will probably come down once Michelin increases production on the size.

 

they are PS2s i can see it in your avatar pic... they should all come with that or Pzero Rossos...
